Crystal’s Journey to create the Serentu Spa Cottage  

Crystal’s journey in the wellness industry began many years ago, Starting with a love for helping people created by my dad who was a nutritionist and taught me different things to help with cancer patients that he helped back in the  90s. He has since passed away, but Crystal contributes a lot of her love for a helping people and giving her best to her father which started back when she was a teenager. In 2008 she started working as an assistant at a spa and also did reflexology which she passed her certification in 1999, After attending school in 2010 and getting licensed In Illinoiis, She eventually moved her license over to Indiana. This was a wonderful time of growth And knowledge as I attempted to build a Spa with five employees at that time in Schererville . Crystal worked hard and was a member of the chamber and other networking groups where she was able to learn from other business owners and contributes a lot of her knowledge and has great gratitude for those who took her under her way to help her.', In 2015, she received the upcoming Woman of the year award, A prestigious award done for women in Northwest Indiana yearly.but sadly, things had to come to an end as She suffered with severe health issues from fibromyalgia to other severe health issues where she was unable to work for about three years from 2022 to September 2025.

This September, as I started over with some local spas, For which I was grateful for the opportunity to work out of, I found that the rigorous work schedule for me was just too much as I was relearning how to live and work agaiin. I also found that one of the prestigious Spas offered amazing services and a beautiful location, but the pricing was very high and I found that I had a little time with my clients. One thing that I had prided myself and was learning what was going on with each person and trying to help solve any health issues they had going on. I now carry red light and infrared light, which I use during different treatment Along with hot stones being one of my clients favorites as it helps the muscles to relax so I can get in and break up the muscle a lot easier . I also have red laser, which is specific for muscle and tendon injuries, and I have found results with people from rotary cuff issues to other issues going on . I also have worked with people who have had surgeries like tummy tuck, and a BBL, As I have equipment that helps with The healing of the body, and also the breaking up of scar tissue . Along with conjuring of the lakes and A specific often found that the high prices charged by larger establishments and the limited time available for each appointment made it difficult to provide the personalized care she believed every client deserved.

Determined to create a better experience, Crystal decided to branch out on her own. With a vision of offering exceptional services in a peaceful, welcoming environment, she began building Crystal’s Serenity Spa Cottage one step at a time. As finances allowed, she carefully invested in creating a space that reflected her passion for wellness, comfort, and individualized care.

Over the years, Serenity Spa Cottage has grown into a unique retreat designed to help clients relax, heal, and recharge. Every detail has been thoughtfully chosen to create a serene atmosphere where guests can escape the stresses of everyday life and enjoy dedicated one-on-one attention.
